Concept and histroy of Cell

Biology:Word Biology is derived from two Greek words:1st one is "BIOS" means "LIFE" and second one is "LOGOS" means "Study or Reasoning".

• Whenever a word "Biology" is came infront of any person means he has to study life.And definatly life is due tp "CELL"

Defination:

  “Cell is the basic structural and functional

  unit of life”

•It carries out all the activities of cell,cells are the building blocks of complex multicellular organisms.

              Histroy of cell

1.Robert hooke(1665): He observed the cork cell under his self made microscope,he found that it is composed of minute honey comb. He called this boxes as “Cella”. He published his work in Micrographia .
